PREIT (NYSE:PEI) is a publicly traded real estate investment trust specializing in the ownership and management of differentiated shopping malls. Headquartered in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the company owns and operates over 22 million square feet of retail space in the eastern half of the United States with concentration in the Mid-Atlantic region’s top MSAs. Since 2012, the company has driven a transformation guided by an emphasis on balance sheet strength, high-quality merchandising and disciplined capital expenditures
Challenge
Original Team who implemented Conga was no longer employed at PREIT and the current team wanted to add new templates and receive training on how to use the product.
The version that PREIT was using in salesforce was out of date and causing issues when attempting to create new templates
Other then generic concepts, no one on the team new how the product worked in the back end.
PREIT also wanted help in evaluating their license and support in negotiations with CONGA
Solution
Took inventory of current Templates and ran reports within CONGA, in Production, on usage (for Template efficiency and for negotiation purposes)
In sandbox, we reinstalled CONGA with the most up to date version and provided the PREIT Team with an overview of release schedules from CONGA to keep their product current.
Tested templates and buttons to make sure current templates worked prior to creating any additional templates in the sandbox.
Used Microsoft Word doc as template and built out mail merge fields for Conga.
Repeated Tested process in Production
Documented Process on how to create/update templates and provided documentation and hands on training to staff
Provided Usage statistics so PREIT could negotiate in good faith with Conga.
Result
Provided new templates for Specialty Marketing Department in under a week.
Gave training to the admin on how to create templates, keep Conga current, mail merge & update existing templates and buttons.
Gave management usage statistics so they could negotiate rates with Conga licensing moving forward.
